Russian troops advance by over 2 km on southern outskirts of Chasov Yar in Donetsk region

LUGANSK, February 26. /TASS/. Russian troops have advanced by more than 2 km on the southern outskirts of Chasov Yar towards the settlement of Stupochki in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS on Wednesday.

During the battles in Chasov Yar and its outskirts, Russian forces have taken control of "major terrain sectors" and moved forward, he specified.

"Russian troops have achieved especially noticeable results on the city’s southern outskirts. Our troops have also seized abandoned Ukrainian positions and advanced by more than 2 km towards Stupochki," he added.

"In Chasov Yar, the fighters have mopped up and taken control of over ten apartment buildings and straightened forward lines," he said.
