Putin to bestow government awards on Russia Day

The ceremony will be held in the Grand Kremlin Palace

MOSCOW, June 12. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to bestow gold medals of Heroes of Labor and award government prizes for certain other achievements at a ceremony on June 12.

The ceremony will be held in the Grand Kremlin Palace. The president will award prizes in science and technology, literature and art, as well as for outstanding achievements in human rights and charitable activities.

June 12 is celebrated as Russia Day.
