MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. International and regional issues were one of the topics of a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Kremlin press service reported.
According to the statement, the sides touched upon "various aspects of international and regional issues, including in the context of Russia’s chairmanship over the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Kazakhstan’s chairmanship over the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)."
Putin and Tokayev confirmed "mutual intention to further comprehensive strengthening of Russian-Kazakh allied relations," the Kremlin press service added.
