MELITOPOL, April 2. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces fired cluster munitions at a dairy and a hospital in the town of Kamenka Dneprovskaya, Zaporozhye Region, a TASS correspondent reports.
According to deputy municipality head Anatoly Bas, Ukrainian forces used US-made M46 munitions. Russian troops carried out a demining operation as some of the rounds did not explode.
"The attack involved remote-controlled cluster munitions filled with various things. These munitions react to any metal; they are equipped with a delayed-action fuse and can be controlled remotely. The strike hit a dairy <...>. No troops are stationed at the facility; there are only emergency teams processing milk," Bas said.
He added that two more cluster munitions had been fired at a hospital. "Ukrainian militants carried out a terrorist attack in the early hours of April 2. The attack targeted the central district hospital and municipal facilities in the Kamensko-Dneprovsky District. Two M-46 cluster munitions were fired. Each such container holds 60 submunitions," the deputy municipality head said.
Kamenka Dneprovskaya is the closest town to Ukrainian positions in the Zaporozhye Region.
