BAKU, March 5. /TASS/. Azerbaijan want to further strengthen its relations with Russia, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov said.
"The development of relations with friendly countries, including Russia, is one of the most important priorities of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy. We are set to continue strengthening and developing good-neighborly relations, mutually beneficial cooperation and strategic partnership with Russia," he said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Mishustin.
The Azerbaijani prime minister reiterated his country’s commitment to further cooperation with Russia within the CIS. He also said that a number of documents on cooperation with Russia in the areas of tourism, culture, and the development of checkpoints on the shared border will be signed after the talks. "These documents are an important supplement to our solid legal basis, which incorporates more than 260 documents that have been signed up till now," Asadov added.
