MOSCOW, January 8. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military lost over 250 troops and nine equipment units in the Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"In the Donetsk direction, the units of the battlegroup South supported by artillery and aviation hit the troops and equipment of the 24th, 28th, 42nd, 93rd mechanized, the 92nd assault brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as the 112th territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Toretsk, Andreyevka, Kleshcheyevka and Krasnoye of the Donetsk People’s Republic," the report reads.

Ukraine’s losses in this direction "totaled over 250 troops dead and injured, two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, two cars, as well as two D-30 howitzers," the ministry said.
