MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. President of China Xi Jinping confirmed the country’s overarching policy to develop strategic interaction with Russia during talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the Russian PM said upon opening the Cabinet meeting.
"The talk with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping was important. He conveyed the warmest greetings to Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and, what’s more, confirmed the principled line of the Chinese leaders to further strengthen the comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between Russia and China," Mishustin said.
The Russian Prime Minister recalled that he had had a scheduled ministerial meeting with his counterpart - Prime Minister of China Li Qiang, where the most significant and pressing issues of bilateral cooperation and progress in implementing agreements reached at the top level had been discussed. All the key topics on the economic, investment, energy and humanitarian agenda were thoroughly discussed and specific decisions were made on the further promotion of practical interaction, including on bringing Russian products to the Chinese market. This referred primarily to agricultural products, Mishustin noted.
"We agreed to consider new joint projects in energy, in industry, in transport infrastructure, and in many other areas. We will endeavor to further strengthen bilateral ties, fulfilling the agreements between our leaders - Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping," he added.
