US ignores biosecurity issues for sake of superprofits — Russian Defense Ministry

Igor Kirillov stressed that the list of persons involved in the military-biological dossier may be supplemented by those who influenced the investigation into the causes of the COVID-19 pandemic

MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. The US administration is deliberately ignoring biological security issues for the sake of superprofits, Lieutenant-General Igor Kirillov, the chief of Russia’s the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces has told a news briefing.

Kirillov stressed that the list of persons involved in the military-biological dossier may be supplemented by those who influenced the investigation into the causes of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as employees of government agencies and officials of medical and pharmaceutical companies.

"The activities of these officials clearly demonstrates that the US administration deliberately ignores the most important issues of biosafety for the sake of superprofits," Kirillov said.

He mentioned former White House adviser and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci among the figures in the military-biological dossier. Also, he named Gina Haspel, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from 2018 to 2021 who supervised the implementation of military-biological programs on the CIA’s behalf and participated in the investigation aimed at establishing the causes of the COVID-19 pandemic. The dossier also mentions Nita Madhav, the former head of the Metabiota company, the organizer of the platform for predicting scenarios of the COVID-19 pandemic, which turned out to be utterly ineffective. Also, Kirillov mentioned Alex Azar, who was the US Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2018 to 2021.
