BELGOROD, September 25. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces have fired 30 shells at towns and villages in Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region and carried out several attacks with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over a 24-hour period, leaving one person injured and a private home damaged, regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
"In the Volokonovsky District, a shrapnel weapon that was dropped from a drone hit a moving Kamaz truck on the outskirts of the village of Novoye. The driver suffered a mild concussion and shrapnel wounds and he sought medical assistance at the central district clinic on his own. The man was given the necessary medical aid and has now been released for outpatient treatment at home," the governor specified.
According to Gladkov, in the Belgorodsky District, the Ukrainians fired four artillery shells at the village of Naumovka on Sunday, while an enemy UAV was downed over the village of Blizhneye. "There were no casualties or damage in those localities. Activated air defenses caused some damage to the roofing of a private home in the village of Streletskoye," the official added.
In the Valuiki Municipal District, the village of Dolgoye came under mortar fire, as two shells were fired at it. The same number of shells were fired each at the outskirts of two other villages, Prilesye and Grafovka, Gladkov reported. Also, the outskirts of Ilyok-Penkovka came under artillery fire, with three shells being registered.
In the Shebekino District, Ukrainian forces fired nine mortar rounds at the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, five at the village of Voznesenovka and three at the Shebekino border checkpoint.
