Russia, China to push for legally binding pacts on indivisibility of security — Lavrov

According to the Russian foreign minister, it’s also necessary to push for all countries to return to the principles that are enshrined in the UN charter

MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. Russia and China will coordinate steps on the international stage and seek to enshrine the principle of the indivisibility of security in legally binding agreements, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Channel One television on Friday.

"Our Chinese friends and us, in developing our coordination on the international stage, will act on the assumption that the indivisibility of security must be enshrined in legally binding documents," he told the channel’s Great Game program.

According to Lavrov, it’s also necessary to push for all countries to return to the principles that are enshrined in the UN charter. In addition, the minister said the UN, when acting through its agencies, must reflect the realities of the multipolar world, rather than succumb to pressure from the "golden billion.".
