Russian Foreign Ministry calls Borrell criticizing Lavrov's speech hypocritical

The ministry also added that normalizing exports of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers with the help of the UN is help currently out of the question

MOSCOW, January 21. /TASS/. The statement of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell criticizing the comparison of the US and its allies' policy towards Moscow with the actions of Adolf Hitler, cited by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, is hypocritical, especially against the background of racist statements by the head of EU diplomacy, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

"The statement by High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell regarding the comparison of the policy of the United States and its allies towards Moscow with the actions of Adolf Hitler, cited by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference on January 18, sounds hypocritical, especially against the backdrop of racist statements by the head of EU diplomacy, who divided the world into a ‘garden’ … and a ‘jungle’…, as well as the EU's open support for the Kiev neo-Nazi regime," the ministry said.

The ministry also added that normalizing exports of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers with the help of the UN is help currently out of the question and that Russia currently sees no action from the United Nations regarding resuming its exports of ammonia via the Togliatti-Odessa pipeline. "The UN members, who are actively calling for an increase in Ukrainian grain exports, are inactive specifically on this issue," the Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the resumption of ammonia exports.
