Russian official says two Zaporozhye plant reactors now providing heat to Energodar

On November 25, Renat Karchaa told TASS that two power units of the Zaporozhye nuclear station had been switched to hot shutdown to supply heat to Energodar

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Supplies to Energodar’s municipal heating system has been restored after two reactors at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant were switched to hot shutdown mode, Renat Karchaa, adviser to the chief executive of Russia’s Rosenergoatom nuclear power plant operator, said on Monday.

"Two reactors are now in what’s called hot shutdown mode, heat transfer is in progress, and heat is being supplied to the city's heating system," Karchaa told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

On November 25, Karchaa told TASS that two power units of the Zaporozhye nuclear station had been switched to hot shutdown to supply heat to Energodar.
