Putin says Russia isn’t fighting Ukrainians, but those who use them as cannon fodder

The Russian president noted that Ukrainian troops had a low morale and executed their own

MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday said Russia isn’t fighting Ukrainians, but those who use them as cannon fodder.

"Unlike those who we have to deal with, and in that sense, we have to fight not them (Ukrainians - TASS), but those who supplies everything to them and pays for it, uses them as cannon fodder, as a matter of fact. That’s not an exaggeration: They don’t have any regard for the cost to human life, no regard at all," he said as he met with the mothers of the servicemen that participate in the special military operation.

Putin also said Ukrainian troops have a low morale and execute their own.

"Those who misbehave get executed by shooting before the unit formation. Our guys saw it with their own eyes. Bodies of those who were executed lie about and don’t get picked up. Here’s a recent case: five people were executed by shooting before the unit formation. They were the people who refused to go or left the positions. They have a totally different moral atmosphere. That’s another confirmation that we are dealing with a neo-Nazi regime, that’s not an exaggeration," he said.
