Politician says Ukraine moves two brigades, lots of artillery to Zaporozhye

Vladimir Rogov said that according to intelligence data, Ukraine has trained more than 40 people to send them to the region’s liberated territory, acquire a legal status and then form sabotage groups

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia civil society group, on Wednesday said Ukraine is moving two brigades and a lot of artillery to the Zaporozhye Region.

"As of now, two brigades are being redeployed. The priority area for the units to move in is Orekhov. Initially, it was the areas of Orekhov and Gulyai Pole but now it Orekhov where M777 and a lot of other artillery, armored vehicles and personnel are being moved," he said on Zvezda television.

Rogov said that according to intelligence data, Ukraine has trained more than 40 people to send them to the region’s liberated territory, acquire a legal status and then form sabotage groups.

"But we are waiting for them," he said.

The politician said there are reasons to believe a Ukrainian offensive will give way to a counteroffensive by allied forces.

"In an indirect sign that the enemy is aware of that, Ukrainian forces blew up today a bridge in the area of Chernigovka. That’s fairly close to the combat engagement line. That means they are afraid we will start attacking them," he said.

Earlier, Rogov told TASS that following the events in Kherson up to 40,000 Ukrainian troops were expected to be redeployed to the Zaporozhye area within one to two weeks, with an ensuing escalation along the engagement line there. He said the allied forces are ready for the possible moves by the Ukrainian army.
