Kremlin spokesman takes aim at West’s ‘exercises in nuclear rhetoric’

According to Dmitry Peskov, "Russia does not want to take part in these exercises and it does not participate in them"

MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Exercises by Western leaders in nuclear rhetoric are detrimental and inflammatory, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"We deplore the fact that Western chiefs of state - the United States, European heads of state - exercise nuclear rhetoric on a daily basis. We consider this a very harmful practice and a provocative practice," the Kremlin spokesman said.

According to Peskov, "Russia does not want to take part in these exercises and it does not participate in them."

The Kremlin official commented on US President Joe Biden’s statement who had said in an interview with CNN that the use of tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine would have disastrous consequences and he did not think that the Russian leader would go for it.
