Intel chief questions West’s ability to use results of Geneva summit to build a just world

Sergey Naryshkin noted that peace could be achieved by solving important global problems through joint efforts

MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. The West’s ability to use the results of the Russia-US summit in Geneva to build a just world is questionable, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin said at the Moscow Conference on International Security on Thursday.

"Whether the West will be able to assess and use the results of the Russian-American summit in Geneva, the spirit of Geneva in order to build a safer and more just world is a question," he said.

Naryshkin noted that peace could be achieved by solving important global problems through joint efforts. "Of course, many challenges and obstacles await us on the way to the formation of true multipolarity, but I am sure that the leading world players will have enough courage and responsibility to overcome these obstacles," he said.
