Gas reserves in European storage facilities drop to 36.7%

The rate of withdrawal from EU’s UGS on March 9 amounted to 152 mln cubic meters, according to GIE

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Natural gas reserves in European underground gas storages (UGS) plunged to 36.7% for the first time in three years, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) data.

The net offtake (the difference between the offtake and injection volumes) totaled more than 65 bln cubic meters from the start of the heating season.

The rate of withdrawal from EU’s UGS on March 9 amounted to 152 mln cubic meters, according to GIE. The injection rate increased to 127 mln cubic meters.

European UGS are currently 36.67% filled. Regasification facilities of LNG currently have capacity utilization of 48% from the maximum.
