MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. Inflation in Russia amounted to 0.15% from February 25 to March 3, 2025, the Russian national statistics service Rosstat reported.
Consumer prices ticked up by 0.1% from the start of March and by 2.09% year to date.
In the food segment, the rise in prices was 2.4% for potatoes and tomatoes, 1.9% for bananas, 1.2% for sugar beet and carrots, 0.9% for white cabbage, 0.8% for frozen fish, 0.6% for vodka, 0.5% for apples, pasteurized milk and vermicelli, 0.4% for beef, cheese and canned meat for infants, and 0.3% for onions, margarine and curd cheese. Prices declined by 0.8% for granulated sugar, 0.5% for chicken meat and 0.2% for wheat flour.
Motor gasoline prices gained 0.2% and diesel fuel added 0.1%.
