IRKUTSK, March 4. /TASS/. Countries that may experience consequences of the terrorist attack against the Kropotkin Pump Station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) should take a firm stance against its planners, department director with the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Sternik told TASS.
On February 17, seven fixed-wing type drones of the Kiev regime attacked the Kropotkin Pump Station.
"Since this is a joint project, we discussed the occurrence with our Kazakh partners. Our assessments of the development fully coincide. This is a terrorist attack against a civilian installation that runs counter to rules of hostilities, any principles of relations in conditions of the conflict, and, certainly, the human morale," the diplomat said. "This refers to an energy installation, with welfare of populations of many countries depending on it.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium is an international institution providing for deliveries of Kazakh feedstock to international countries and countries that may experience adverse consequences from this terrorist act should take the principled position in respect of those provoking and arranging this terrorist act," Sternik added.
The pump station suffered damages. Its repair may take 1.5-2 months and pumping of oil from Kazakhstan may drop by 30% during the recovery period, said Transneft, the Russian shareholder in CPC.
