NEW YORK, March 3. /TASS/. The US economy could experience a "heart attack" in three years unless the government cuts the state debt to 3% of GDP, Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio said during an appearance on Bloomberg’s Odd Lots podcast.
"If you don’t do it [reduce the government debt - TASS], you’re going to be in trouble," Dalio said in the interview on the Odd Lots podcast. "I can’t tell you exactly when it’ll come, it’s like the heart attack," he added. "You’re getting closer. My guess would be three years, give or take a year, something like that," the expert noted.
The US state debt is over $36.5 trillion for now, which is more than $107,000 per person in the country.
