KAZAN, February 27. /TASS/. The Russian automaker Kamaz plans to expand truck production to 60,000 units by 2030, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko said.
"Despite the competition from foreign manufacturers, Kamaz produced over 41,000 vehicles and intends to boost production to 60,000 units by 2030," the minister said.
Kamaz produced a total of over 54,600 commercial vehicles in 2024, rising 3% year on year, the automaker’s press service reported earlier. Specifically, 1,596 buses and 688 electric buses, 4,368 trailers and semitrailers, and 554 cement trucks. In terms of heavy machinery, 41,677 units were produced.
