YAKUTIA, February 27. /TASS/. Yakutia refused from mixed logistics in favor of land routes to ship coal. In a minimum batch the savings made 70 million rubles ($815,000), CEO of Yakutia's Housing and Communal Services Company Vitaly Chikachev said.
"Starting this year, we deliver differently fuel and energy resources to the Verkhoyansky District. Our initiative has been supported by Yakutia's Governor Aisen Nikolaev, where at meeting on the region's socio-economic development, he recommended to drop gradually the mixed logistics in favor of land routes. This is an important step for our company, since we have cut transport expenses if we do not use the navigation with transshipment in Nizhneyansk," he wrote on Telegram.
Coal is delivered to the Batagai village from the Dzhebariki-Khaya village along the Yana winter road through the Topolinoe village. The company has transported 15,000 tons of coal, having saved about 70 million rubles. "Next year, the plan is to transport 35,000 tons, and we expect to save at least 170 million rubles ($2 million). When we use the road transport, savings are expected at more than 350 million rubles ($4 million)," he added.
