MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Russia should use all civilized methods, including protectionist ones, to promote the development of domestic technologies for their subsequent promotion on the world market, First Deputy Director General, Director of the Development and International Business of Rosatom state corporation Kirill Komarov said.
"The main task of the state is to create a regime in which technologies will grow, the materials needed for them will grow, and they will be in demand by the domestic industry and gain sufficient strength to be competitive on the world market," Komarov said.
It is very important, he stressed, to remember that Russia is "in a competitive global environment." "Everything in the world is very much monopolized. We see this very well on the market: while there is no competition, including from our side, prices are very high. As soon as we get somewhere, suddenly, magically, the prices for all this start to fall, although we see that there has been no breakthrough in technological development that would allow for a substantial decrease in prices," Komarov noted.
