Inflation expectations in Russia down to 13.7% in February from 14% in January — regulator

Meanwhile, observed inflation edged up to 16.5% in February from 16.4% in January and 15.9% in December

MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Russian households’ inflation expectations fell to 13.7% in February from 14% in January, according to the latest survey by InFOM for the Bank of Russia.

Households’ inflation expectations totaled 13.9% in December, 13.4% in November and October, and 12.5% in September, which was lower than in August (12.9%) and slightly higher than in July (12.4%).

Meanwhile, observed inflation edged up to 16.5% in February from 16.4% in January and 15.9% in December. Observed inflation fell sharply to 13.6% in February from 15.4% in January among those having savings, and rose to 18.4% from 17.5% among those having no savings.

The survey was held from February 3 to 13, 2025 among at least 2,000 adult respondents in 105 settlements in 55 Russian regions.
