NEW YORK, February 18. /TASS/. G7 countries are planning to revise the price ceiling on Russian oil as part of tightening of their anti-Russia policy, Bloomberg reported citing a draft of the document.
It is not yet known whether all G7 nations have approved the proposal, according to the agency. The draft will be possibly revised and changed. The group of seven states plans to publish a joint statement on February 24.
European Commission Chief Spokesperson Paula Pinho said earlier that restrictions against Russia in the energy sector would be imposed further on despite the US’ plans related to the issue, in the context of the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. The 16th package of sanctions is set to affect the energy sector among other things.
