According to the report, accessing the Chinese market is critical for promoting bilateral trade and economic relations

MOSCOW, April 8. /TASS/. Three more shipments of pork by-products totaling 167.99 tons were sent from Russia to China, Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) reported.

"On April 2, another Russian enterprise for the production of pork and its by-products, approved by the General Administration of Customs of China, sent three batches of pork by-products with a volume of 167.99 tons to the country," the statement said.

According to the report, accessing the Chinese market is critical for promoting bilateral trade and economic relations. "Rosselkhoznadzor continues to work to expand the list of Russian organizations that have the right to export supplies to China," the agency said in a statement.

On March 7, Rosselkhoznadzor approved the export of 27 tons of pork byproducts to China. The items were due to arrive in the country on April 11.

In September 2023, China lifted the restrictions on African swine fever that had been in force for Russia since 2008. At the end of February 2024, the Chinese competent authority certified three Russian companies to ship pork from Russia to China.
