Denmark intends to inspect, detain tankers with Russian oil — FT

The Danish government and the European Commission refused to comment

LONDON, November 15. /TASS/. Denmark is going to inspect and detain if necessary tankers with Russian oil that navigate through Danish channels as part of new plans of Brussels to control seaborne deliveries of such oil, The Financial Times reports.

This refers to oil tankers in transit via Danish channels without the Western insurance, the newspaper said. According to the law, this enables governments to inspect ships posing threat to environment, in their opinion. Tankers supply almost 60% of Russian oil from its total seaborne experts from the Baltic Sea to the North Sea.

The Danish government and the European Commission refused to comment, FT added.
