ST. PETERSBURG, September 25. /TASS/. Sovcomflot is ready to provide vessels for the whole transit of cargoes by Russian oil and gas companies via the Northern Sea Route (NSR) in full, Chief Executive Officer Igor Tonkovidov said in an interview with TASS.
"I can say that Sovcomflot is ready to provide necessary vessels for the whole volume of transit cargoes that Russian oil and gas companies plan to carry via the Northern Sea Route in full," he said.
Sovcomflot plans 20 transit voyages in the waters of the Northern Sea Route, carrying around 2 mln tons of cargoes this year, CEO said. "This year we plan 20 transit voyages via the Northern Sea Route, which is around 2 mln tons of cargoes, with 16 voyages having finished already, while four about to finish shortly," he said.
Sovcomflot Group is Russia’s largest shipping company and one of the global leaders in marine transportation of hydrocarbons, including crude oil and petroleum products, liquefied gas, and in transport servicing of oil and gas projects on the continental shelf, including offshore seismic exploration.
