Russia’s international reserves down 0.4% over week — Central Bank

Reserves totaled $580.7 bln as of February 24

MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. Russia’s international reserves declined by 0.4% or by $2.3 bln over the week and totaled $578.4 bln as of March 3, 2023, the Central Bank said on Friday.

"International reserves as of March 3 stood at $578.4 bln, having declined over the week by $2.3 bln or by 0.4% in consequence of negative revaluation and transactions carried within the fiscal rule framework," the regulator informed.

Reserves totaled $580.7 bln as of February 24.

Russia’s international reserves are highly liquid foreign assets available with the Bank of Russia and the Russian Government. They comprise foreign currency, Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund and monetary gold. The target level of the Central Bank for international reserves is $500 bln.
