MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. Sber maintains plans to reach the profitability of its ecosystem companies by 2030, Sberbank CEO Herman Gref said during a conference call with investors and analysts.
"I am unable to predict when we will gradually enter a profitability. This will definitely happen by 2023, we are now developing a strategy for 2024-2026, and there we can already say how possible it would be in the current conditions. We will try to predict financial results, including ecosystems, for the next three years," he said.
According to him, the companies included in the Sber ecosystem ended 2022 with better-than-expected performance, but their contribution to the group's financial result was still negative. According to the latest financial report from the bank, net profit of Sber for 2022 under IFRS decreased by 78% and reached 270.5 bln rubles ($3.56 bln). The net profit of Sber for 2021 under IFRS was 1.246 trillion rubles ($16.41 bln). Total shareholder equity in 2022 reached 5.8 trillion rubles ($76.58 bln) while CET1 capital ratio increased to 14.8%.
