MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Serial production of the Lada Vesta New Generation model will tentatively be launched on March 3, the head of Avtovaz carmaker Maxim Sokolov told reporters.

"A couple of weeks ago, a pre-series launch of the conveyor took place. The conveyor is working today, it produces Lada Vesta New Generation models already in a restyled version. We plan, as we said, that at the very beginning of March, approximately on the 3rd [of March], this conveyor will already start working for the serial production," Sokolov said.

Avtovaz expects to start selling the Lada Vesta NG in April-May 2023, he added.

"We will start sales in the second quarter - April-May. Our dealer network should accumulate these cars. Despite the fact that they will start to roll off the assembly line, each dealer must have a certain stock. This requires about two or three months - this is the international practice of launching all plants and subsequent sales," he said.
