BELGRADE, February 3. /TASS/. Russia is handling the barrage of sanctions better than expected and better than anybody in the West, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday at a special legislative assembly meeting.

"I must admit that the Russians have adapted better [to the sanctions] than anybody in the West and above expectations. Is it good for them? No. [These] sanctions wield an impact [on Russia] and a powerful one," Vucic said.

The Serbian leader noted that Russia had tackled the monetary sanctions the best, so that’s why he "tips his hat to" Governor of the Russian Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina. "They did the job better than the West had expected," Vucic stressed.
