ASHGABAT, January 20. /TASS/. A cooperation agreement on migration, a protocol on the mutual fight against customs violations for 2023-2025 and six more documents were signed following recent talks between Russian and Turkmen delegations in Ashgabat on Friday.
Among them were also memorandums of understanding on fisheries and youth policy, as well as a cooperation memorandum in the area of training customs personnel. Moreover, among the signed documents were a protocol on the transition to integrating information systems on plant quarantine, a plan of action (roadmap) on issues of bilateral cooperation in the sectors of water consumption and the environment, and an agreement on cooperation between Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and Magtymguly Turkmen State University (which has been approved remotely.
The Russian delegation led by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, which particularly included deputy prime ministers and cabinet ministers, arrived in Ashgabat on Thursday. Following their arrival, they attended the Russian-Turkmen business forum. On Friday, Mishustin held talks with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
