Russia raises quota for exports of nitrogen fertilizers

Additional volumes will be distributed among exporters by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. The current export quota for Russian producers of nitrogen fertilizers has been increased by 750,000 metric tons, according to a decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"The decision will be in effect until the end of 2022. In general, the quota now stands at just over 9 mln tons. The restrictions do not apply to supplies to Abkhazia and South Ossetia," the press service of the Russian government reported.

Additional volumes will be distributed among exporters by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The decision was made to assist Russian fertilizer producers, who, if the domestic market is sufficiently saturated with supplies, will be able to ship greater volumes for export, according to the government.
