MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. The relevant authorities in Venezuela are considering connecting to Russia’s Mir payment system, and some progress has been made here, Russian Ambassador to the republic Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov told TASS on Monday.

"Some progress has certainly been made. The relevant bodies are in touch, but it would be too early to discuss any specific timing now," the Russian diplomat said.

"Venezuela has all the information regarding accession to the Russian Mir payment system, and relevant authorities are considering it. The process requires an analysis and a detailed study," he added.
