Vladimir Lisin tops lists of Russia’s richest businessmen in 2021 — Forbes

According to the Forbes 34th annual ranking of the richest people in the world, the total wealth of Russian billionaires decreased by 42% over the year

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Vladimir Lisin, Chairman of the Board of Directors and the main shareholder of the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works (NLMK), has topped the Russian segment of Forbes list of richest people in the world in 2021. His fortune is estimated at $18.4 bln, according to the publication.

Vladimir Potanin, the head and beneficiary of the mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel, with a fortune of $17.3 billion, ranks second in the ranking. Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who became the only non-industrial businessman in the top 10, is on the third place. His fortune is estimated at $15.1 billion.

The head of Novatek Leonid Mikhelson is on the fourth place in the ranking with a fortune of $14 billion. Co-owner of Severstal Alexey Mordashov, who previously topped the list, moved to fifth position: his fortune is estimated at $13.2 billion.

According to the Forbes 34th annual ranking of the richest people in the world, the total wealth of Russian billionaires decreased by 42% over the year, to $353 billion, and their number decreased from 123 to 88 people.
