BELGOROD, March 9. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army used more than 130 drones to attack districts of Russia’s Belgorod Region over the past 24 hours, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported.
"Ten munitions were fired in one round of shelling and 11 drones were launched, with four of them having been downed by air defenses, on the Belgorod Region’s Dubovoye, Malinovka, Razumnoye, the settlements of Krasnoye, Krasny Khutor, Solntsevka, Shchetinovka, as well as the Valkovsky farmstead. Two private houses and one vehicle were damaged. In the Borisovsky district one munition was fired and two drones were launched, one of which was shot down, on settlements of Gruzskoye, Nikitskoye and Tsapovka. The attack did not result in any consequences," Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Settlements and villages in the Valuisky municipal district were attacked with 23 drones, 16 of which were shot down. In the early hours of March 9, explosive devices were dropped in the settlement of Dolgoye, damaging a private house and three outbuildings, as well as burning a lorry. Six munitions were fired in one round of shelling in the Volokonovsky district and one drone was launched, having been shot down. In the village of Tishanka, a private house, an outbuilding and a commercial facility were hit.
The Graivoronsky district was attacked by six drones. In the city of Graivoron, four vehicles and three private households were damaged overnight by an explosive device dropped from a drone. Air defenses downed 24 UAVs over Gubkinsky and Starooskolsky districts and the Krasnensky district, with no casualties or destruction reported.
The Krasnoyaruzhsky district also came under two artillery attacks, during which 16 munitions were fired and ten UAVs launched, two of which were shot down. Four private houses, one vehicle and a power line were damaged. Emergency crews restored electricity in the settlement of Ilek-Penkovka.
The Rakityansky district was also hit by a drone, with no consequences reported. The air defense system shot down 15 fixed-wing drones over the Chernyansky district as a social facility, eight private houses and an outbuilding were damaged.
The Shebekinsky district was attacked seven times, with 13 munitions fired and 38 drones launched, having been intercepted and destroyed. Over the past day, a private house and an unused building were damaged, and an apartment building and a power line were damaged in in Shebekino shelling this morning.
