Extremist movements serve as line of attack on Russia, Putin says

"We fully realize that this is one of the lines of attack on Russia, on our multinational and multidenominational country," the Russian president emphasized

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Extremist movements, by attempting to drive a wedge between ethnicities and religious denominations, are one of the lines of attack on Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted at a board meeting of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

"It is necessary to fight extremism and terrorism resolutely and assertively, thwart any attempts to divide and split our society, pit various ethnicities and religious denominations against each other," the head of state said.

"We fully realize that this is one of the lines of attack on Russia, on our multinational and multidenominational country," Putin emphasized.
