MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. The Security Council of Russia is coordinating efforts to bring to justice all Ukrainian individuals guilty of giving and executing inhumane orders against Russian civilians, Deputy Secretary Alexander Grebenkin said.
"The office of the Security Council of Russia indicates that barbaric methods of warfare have become more frequently used - the Ukrainian units are attacking innocent civilians, including children, with weapons of immense destructive power and destroying residential houses and social facilities in the Russian border regions," the deputy secretary told reporters.
"The Security Council of Russia and its bodies are coordinating efforts of law enforcement agencies to ensure that all the executors of criminal orders and the officials who gave them are held accountable," Grebenkin stressed.
Specific Cases
"On February 1, the Ukrainian army launched a targeted missile attack on a boarding school in the town of Sudzha in Russia's Kursk Region. Over 90 civilians, mostly elderly, became victims of the Ukrainian attackers' assault," Grebenkin said, citing examples of Ukraine's criminal actions.
"Just three days after this incident, Ukrainian troops delivered drone strikes on two schools in the Zaporozhye Region, inflicting injuries of varying severity on five children and a driver," he continued. "They also attacked a school the following day, leaving no casualties," Grebenkin added.
"On February 6, a Ukrainian drone hit a civilian car with a man and two girls aged 18 and 14 in the Belgorod region - all people were killed," the deputy secretary recalled.
"There are other examples of Ukraine's atrocities. Such deliberate actions have no statute of limitations - they are considered the gravest war crimes against humanity and prohibited in the civilized world," Grebenkin stressed.
The deputy secretary assured that "every case of Ukrainian forces' crimes against Russian citizens is thoroughly documented. Workers of Russian law enforcement agencies continue to investigate them, often with great risk to their lives. They carry out meticulous work to identify and expose all the perpetrators. "In 2024 alone, about 500 Ukrainian military personnel were convicted, about 60 of them were sentenced to life in prison," he said.
