Seizure of Paraskoviyevka to cut off Kiev’s last supply route in Artyomovsk — DPR head

It is reported that fierce battles are now raging in Paraskoviyevka

DONETSK, February 14. /TASS/. The seizure of Paraskoviyevka located at northern approaches to Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) will help cut off the Chasov Yar road as the Ukrainian army’s last supply route, acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said on Tuesday.

"The seizure of this community [Paraskoviyevka] will help cut off the road to Chasov Year," he said in a live broadcast on Russia’s TV Channel One.

Fierce battles are now raging in Paraskoviyevka, Pushilin said.

At a meeting with journalists, bloggers and public figures on the topic: "The DPR as a part of Russia" held on February 10, Pushilin said that the Chasov Yar road remained the sole supply route for the Ukrainian battlegroup in Artyomovsk.

Military-political expert, adviser to the acting DPR head Yan Gagin earlier explained that Russian forces were fighting to tighten the grip on Artyomovsk and place it under operational encirclement. The basic goal was to seize control of the Chasov Yar road, he said.
