MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russian aviation destroys 68 Ukrainian military facilities overnight, including three Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems and one Osa system, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Major General Igor Konashenkov announced on Tuesday.

"Over the night, operational-tactical aircraft hit 68 military facilities of Ukraine, including three command posts, four anti-aircraft missile systems - three Buk-M1 and one Osa - one radar station, five multiple launch rocket systems, two ammunition warehouses, three fuel and lubricants warehouses, and 19 areas of concentration of Ukrainian military equipment and strong points," he said.

According to Konashenkov, three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were also destroyed over the night in the area of the settlement of Chernobaevka.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in order to protect people "who have been suffering from abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories, noting that the operation was aimed at the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.
