Canadian ministers going to US for consultations with Trump’s administration — TV

Canada’s Foreign Minister Melanie Joly and Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc intend to continue consultations on issues discussed by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with US president-elect

OTTAWA, December 27. /TASS/. Canada’s Foreign Minister Melanie Joly and Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc will arrive in the United States on Friday to meet representatives of the administration of President-elect Donald Trump, CTV television reports.

Joly and LeBlanc intend to continue consultations on issues discussed by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with Trump in his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, the TV channel said, citing Jean-Sebastien Comeau, the spokesman of the Canadian Finance Minister.

According to Fox News, Trump told Trudeau at that meeting that import duties would be introduced for goods from Canada.
