WASHINGTON, December 3. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden has authorized Secretary of State Antony Blinken to determine the importance of giving more funds to Ukraine, according to a document published on the White House website.
"I hereby delegate to the secretary of state the authority <...> to determine whether it is important to the security interests of the United States to furnish up to $63 million in assistance to Ukraine," the document reads.
Politico reported earlier that the outgoing US administration planned "to rush the last of over $6 bln remaining in Ukraine security assistance out the door by Inauguration Day." White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed the Biden administration’s plans to allocate the remaining $6 in funding for Kiev. He added that in his remaining time in office, Biden would try to make the case to Trump that the United States should not walk away from Ukraine.
