CAIRO, March 1. /TASS/. Palestinian factions that gathered in Moscow stated the unity of their actions for achievement of their main goals, including countering the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the attempts to forcefully displace Palestinians from their territories, says the joint statement, adopted by Palestinian movements and groups in Moscow.
"The factions reaffirmed their agreement regarding the emergency goals, faced by the Palestinian people and the unity of actions for achievement of said goals," says the document, published on the Hamas Telegram channel.
According to the statement, the main goals include "countering the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in the West Bank and in Jerusalem, carried out with support, aid and involvement of the US." All factions intend to "counter the attempts to displace the Palestinians from their native lands and to resist the illegal construction and expansion of the [Israeli] settlement network."
The Palestinian factions stated their support and defense of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The joint statement points out the "vital role of the UNRAW, which the agency plays in providing for the necessities of Palestinian refugees until their return to the homeland."
During the meeting in Moscow, the sides "stated the need for an immediate lift of the blockade of the Gaza Strip and delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza without preconditions or restrictions." The Palestinian factions also spoke against the "continued violations of Israeli authorities regarding the Al Aqsa Mosque, Islamic and Christian sacred places in Jerusalem."
The Palestinian factions agreed they will continue their meetings "until the achievement of a comprehensive national unity with involvement of all Palestinian forces and factions within the Palestine Liberation Organization - the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people."
Previously, the media reported that representatives of various Palestinian movements would gather for consolations in Moscow on March 1-2, in order to overcome an internal rift.
