UN secretary general doesn’t think it would make sense to resume Black Sea grain deal

Antonio Guterres said it would be "very interesting" if efforts to create conditions for freedom of navigation in the Black Sea were successful.

UNITED NATIONS, December 22. /TASS/. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said it wouldn’t make sense to resurrect the Black Sea grain deal as it was.

"We are in contact with both sides, so trying to explore new forms. I don't think repetition will make sense," he told reporters.

He said it would be "very interesting" if efforts to create conditions for freedom of navigation in the Black Sea succeeded.
