BEIJING, February 4. /TASS/. China has imposed export controls on items related to tungsten, tellurium, bismuth, molybdenum, and indium, the Ministry of Commerce reported.
The decision has been made "for protecting national security and interests, as well as for fulfilling international obligations, regarding [nuclear] non-proliferation among others," according to the report. Exporters will be granted licenses for materials that comply with relevant regulations.
China's move aligns with international practices, the ministry noted.
