Russia insists on return of all Kursk Region’s civilians taken to Ukraine — ombudswoman

Tatyana Moskalkova also mentioned that during a meeting with Kursk Region residents returning from the Sumy region, it was revealed that they had been told in Ukraine that the Russian side was unwilling to accept all of them

MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Russia insists on the return of all residents from the Kursk Region who were taken to Ukrainian territory, but the Ukrainian side claims that the necessary documents are not yet prepared, according to Tatyana Moskalkova, Russia’s human rights commissioner.

"Throughout these months, we have consistently demanded the return of all 72 Kursk Region residents still in Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian ombudsman informed us that documents are being processed for other citizens. This is a questionable argument. We are ready to accept all of them," Moskalkova stated on her Telegram channel.

She also mentioned that during a meeting with Kursk Region residents returning from the Sumy region, it was revealed that they had been told in Ukraine that the Russian side was unwilling to accept all of them. "We categorically refute this claim," Moskalkova asserted.

Earlier on Tuesday, Moskalkova noted that there are still 72 individuals in Ukraine who were taken by Ukrainian servicemen to the city of Sumy while parts of the Kursk Region were under occupation.
