Nearly half of US citizens believe that Trump supports Russia in Ukrainian conflict — poll

The survey was carried out from March 7 to March 11 and was taken by 1,000 eligible US voters

NEW YORK, March 17. /TASS/. Almost half of the American citizens (49%) believe that President Donald Trump supports Russia in regard to the Ukrainian situation, while 40% think he "favors neither side," according to a poll published by NBC News.

Another 8% of the respondents believe that Trump backs Kiev, while 3% were undecided. The poll was carried out from March 7 to March 11 and was taken by 1,000 eligible US voters.

Earlier, a poll conducted by SSRS on behalf of CNN indicated that half of US citizens think that Trump’s attitude toward resolving the conflict between Russia and Ukraine would harm the United States. Meanwhile, only 29% of those surveyed said that the president’s policy on Ukraine would be advantageous for the US. A total of 59% of Americans doubt that Trump’s attitude toward the Ukrainian conflict settlement would lead to a lasting peace between Moscow and Kiev, while 41% believe this to be feasible.
