Gaza authorities say less humanitarian aid flowing into enclave — TV channel

According to the Gaza government's media relations office, the number of trucks carrying humanitarian aid that entered the enclave over the past two days did not exceed 30% of the expected number

DUBAI, February 17. /TASS/. The authorities of the Gaza Strip have announced a decrease in the flow of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave, Lebanon's Al Mayadeen TV channel reported, citing the Gaza government's media relations office.

According to it, the number of trucks carrying humanitarian aid that entered the enclave over the past two days did not exceed 30% of the expected number.

Humanitarian deliveries to the Gaza Strip resumed after Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani announced on January 15 that as a result of mediation efforts by Washington, Doha and Cairo, the parties to the conflict reached an agreement on the release of hostages held in the enclave and the introduction of a ceasefire. The pause in hostilities officially ended on January 19.

On February 10, a representative of the military wing of the Palestinian radical movement Hamas threatened to withdraw from the agreement, claiming that Israel had violated its terms. On February 13, Hamas announced that it had reached an agreement with Egyptian mediators to maintain the agreements with Israel in their original form in exchange for humanitarian aid and fuel.
