Five strategic companies released from foreign control — Russian Prosecutor General

It is reported that prosecutors also managed to invalidate agreements on bioresources production with foreign companies in the amount of over $65.8 mln

MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Russian prosecutors managed to remove five strategic companies from foreign control in 2022, Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said on Wednesday.

"I would like to especially note the results of exercising new powers on returning lost property to the state. Court judgments have taken place and five strategic companies were removed from foreign control. Four more cases are pending," Krasnov said.

Prosecutors also managed to invalidate agreements on bioresources production with foreign companies in the amount of over 5 bln rubles ($65.8 mln) and money laundering amounting to more than 3.5 bln rubles ($46.1 mln) was prevented. "And this year the treasury has already taken 12 billion rubles (157.9 mln), which was the subject of legalization," the Prosecutor General said.
